A friends Exciter has been in the family since new.
Last winter we were out and shut it down and it would not restart when warm. No fuel, dry plugs. Let it cool off a couple of hours, it would start right back up.
I was talking to her brother who owned it originally and he said they had that same problem since new.
Anybody ever had issues with these?
I am going to go through the fuel system with a fine tooth comb.
I am thinking of going up a pilot jet size if I don't find anything else that is "broken".
What do you guys think?

The old exciters were known for losing the rope side ignition components (stator). Dealing with that on my bud's '87 right now, but you're lucky his dies w/o warning in the middle of nowhere. Needs about 20 minutes to cool and re-start
