Have not been on this site in a while so hope I am posting in the right area...Any how A buddy has a 02 Viper and he wants to know what his options are for a higher seat...I had metioned to him also he may want to add a M10 also...Any ideas or thoughts..

Some will add 2-3 in. foam to stock seat, some build a riser for the seat and the best, but most expensive is to buy a Boss seat which cost 4-500 bucks new.

Hey i just got in the mail my boss seat for 399 and it is sick!!!!! The sled feels so different. Feels high like a nytro seat.

Those new Boss seats are real nice and only $399, so you can't go wrong.

But I still like the old style custom made seats Boss can do --- you will pay more but if you truly want a custom made seat, they are the way to go, JMO.

Yamerhammer - could you post some pics of your new seat?

MountainRx1 - I think you can still get the custom seats.

xs - is that a flattop?
Yes! Highrise was way too tall for trail riding. I love the flatop. I am 5'10" with a 29" inseam, and it fits me great. I put a 2" riser on it, this year I am going to add an inch to the riser.

Why not get the Highrise Widetop???? I ride both off trail and on trail alot and I love the extra height....... In fact, I had them raise it extra.

I custom ordered my seat and purposely had them build up my Highrise Widetop to be an inch or two taller then normal. I also had them widen it further and contour it a bit more. Then I had them put the non-slip material on the seat top, make it blue with mountain scene, and put dual LED's on the back. Those were my preferences. FYI, I am only 5' 11", 32" inseam, and weigh about 185-190 pounds. I guess my legs are a few inches longer, xsivhp.....

The seat is stiff, but I love it. But the weird thing is, It feels like I added 4 - 5 more inches or suspension travel to my sled. The bumps aren't as noticeable. Best decision I've ever made.

Now the bad: seat was over $600 bones and it took 5 months (in the off season even!) for them to actually complete the darn thing. Boss works at the speed of molasses, but their stuff is good.

i'm 5'10" with 30" inseam and the flattop is perfect for me. mine just looks taller than xs's but maybe i need to look at mine again, i'm sure they are the same. plus, i didn't really want to go taller due to center of gravity issues coupled with the extra ride height of the m-10.

xs- yeah a 2" riser block isn't enough. 3 1/2" is pretty good.

I was looking at the Boss Seats, for 3 different sleds. The basic seat for $399.00 does not look like it has a spot for a tail light. Am I missing something in the photos? I am definatly ordering the seats, but do I need to fabricate a tail light also? Al

I just ordered two Boss seats last night from Sled X, The guys there were fantastic to work with. Great deal also. I will let everyone know how they look when they arrive. I am going to fabricate a cutome LED light for the rear. I have some ideas 13" bar light for running and brake. Al
