So, like the title says, im thinking of swaping out the drivers on my 86 phazer from 8 tooth to 7's. One of the drivers thats on there is re-enforced with a hose clamp. I also have a 136" skid thats going under it. This should accomidate a 136" x 2" track? has anyone used these drivers: http://www.psep.biz/store/yamaha_snowmobile_drive_sprockets.html
Am I going to have ratcheting problems? I am not real concerned about top speed so i figure this would be a good way to go?

thanks,

matt

2" track is going to be tight on that phazer. you may be cutting lugs for enough bulkhead clearance. your link didnt work, but alot of drivers have a band clamp on the shoulder for reinforcement.

I bought a pair of 7 tooths for my Exciter from that website and they work great. I have ran them for 1yr and I have had no ratcheting problems and I run my track nice and loose.

Ok, sounds good. I think thats what im going to do. And about the band clamp, the driver is actually starting to split, and looks like the clamp is there to prevent further splitting.
