Going to stretch out my 02 Viper. What kind of mods will I need to do to install the rear heat exchanger? Before I go ahead and order the kit I want to make sure everything will work. In the Hartman kit it shows a cross-over tube. Conditions around here almost make it mandatory to have the rear exchanger.

have you bought the kit already? i know we got the srx rear cooler into my brothers extension for his viper. he bought the yamaha tunnel extension and with a bit of grinding + a peice from the rear that is not used with the extension, we got it mounted in there.

I've got a 136 rear viper skid (has Hartmann extensions) and a Challenger aka Carve 136" track to go with it coming out this weekend...

Didn't buy the kit yet. I want to make sure I get the right parts and info before I order up the kit. How much messing aroud did it take to mount the cooler?

I have the Hartman kit in my sx-r and had to cut the cooler tubes of and rotate then 45 degrees and weld them back on so the cooler can lay flat on the bottom of the tunnel extension with the tubes facing towards the front. Not really that big of a deal,my kit came with the tube, but I wanted to retain my rear cooler. The kit is very nice overall and I recommend it.I bought mine from Rich on here.

only took about 1hr to mount it after my brother ground out the tunnel extension holes so the cooler fit. did not have to rotate the tubes at all. just had to cut the mountain viper hoses shorter.
