I have heard you can drop a 600cc motor in an exciter with no work (bolts right in) except to the air box, which you gotta re-do? Is this true?
I was recently given a blown mint 93 exciter SX (only 800 miles, but friend had jetting issues), and have been trying to decide what to do to it. I been thinking of dropping the 600 in there, but another guy told me the sx exciter motor would run circles around the 600 vmax motor, is that true?
ANY SUGGESTIONS OR ADVICE?

not sure about the 93 sx, but the one i saw was not a direct bolt in. 91ish exiter. different motor mounts, pipe clearance issues. hard to believe an exiter would run circles on a vmax. but who knows. the 94-96 vmaxes were based on the sx chassis and motor. anything is doable with desire and resources. i put a srx triple motor in a 95 vmax as a race only sled. scary fast.
