89 Exciter suspension ??? Any Help would b appreciated
Guys,
I put in the rear shock I have been waiting for. Something is still not right. Way too bouncy. The bottom mount is loose, flopping around when the shock is removed. I looked at some pics I found of a removed skid and it looks like something is missing. There are supposed to be some of the metal support coils and they are gone. What are they called and where do I get them? I am just trying to get it in shape for the kids for the winter. I new the shock went in way too easy!
EDIT-I looked at the microfiche-supposed to be a relay rod on each side of the shock.
OK- I got the rods in the mail today. I don't know if they are hooked up right. I put the end of the rods on the outside of the mount below the shock. I mounted the bottom of the rods outside the bracket using the same bolt(longer)as the shock is mounted on. I thought they should all slide on the same rod next to the shock, but they don't fit inside the bracket, They are too wide. Anyone have a picture of an exciter skid? The microfiche is just too hard to tell. To me it just does not make sense to be hooked up this way. It seems like the shock would not really be doing anything? I don't know why someone would have removed all this stuff but..... Anyone have any insight,Just don't want to break anything or snap something off and wreck the track.
