95 vmax 600 with a 141 2" paddle underneath. I have mountain max 13 plate 40 tooth gear are they the same as the vmax gears? Can't find any info searching.
I also have the 8 tooth extros underneath should I go for 20/40 or 21/40 gearing?

are these machines that old that no fixes them up anymore! no one with long track vmax's out there?
should be the same gears, i interchange gears from 94 to 01, in the 13w non hyvos. go for the 21/40, just make sure your chain is the right lenghth.

I have the stock 21/40 from the mm700 and the chain. The tech pages show a 68L chain as stock the for mm. That should work for my application?
count the pins in the chain. 20/40 68link. 21/40 70 link. 19/39 was stock in a mm, with a 68 link chain, partial compensation for the stock 8t drivers.

When I finally got to it. I have the vmax stock 21/37 with 72 link chain. Could not fit the 21/40 gears with the 72 link chain.
Do they make a 74 or 76 link chain? or do I go a different route and try a 20/39 and then the 72 link should work?

I just put in 21/40 gears in my srx and used the 68 link chain. Tried 22/40 but the 68 wouldn't work and the 70 was quite sloppy, really had to tighten the tightener up for it to work, too much I thought.knocksum said:When I finally got to it. Interesting to note the jackshaft and driveshaft distances are greater in the vmax then the mountain max or srx.
