Hello ! I need some advice now, Tunel extension is mounted track on the flor and a new pair of drop brackets (rear) from viper mountain.

Can anyone tell me how much i should drop it in the back and if i could use same holes for the rivets ? if i use same rivet holes as oem short viper brackets i will move the suspension back 1,5" , and down 2" Is that ok.

How much should i move down and back the middle bracket.
I´m planing to use oem middle bracket .

what exactly are you doing? i have an 03 mtn viper on the stand in the garage. i can give you somme mount location measurements. you do not want to use the stock locations for your pivot points, if your converting a 121.
 
What suspension are you using?
or just installing extensions?
becareful doing your measurements my suspension didnt travel well at first nad had to redrill!

Ok have a 121" track now and building my own 144" kit, tunel extension from a 01 MM 700 and a 144x1.5 track. Bought rails from Western Power sports for OEM suspension.

Bought OEM rear Drop brackets from Viper MM,

Yes want to use the drop brackets on my short tunnel, i can´t mount them at same place as OEM viper mm because mountain has a longer suspension.
Think i can use excisting rivet holes on back bracket

what length of rails?
sounds like you are putting longer rails on a 121 suspension? If so you will have to mount it back in in similar locations. I install extensions on mine and dropped the rear @ 3" ( CB Performance brackets) and @ 1-1/4 in frt. I used a straight edge to mark the distance from the driveshaft and then lowered in a arc to get the drop location.
If your rails are shorter you could mount farther back?
 
I have stock rails and rail extenstion from WPS 121-144.

If i have right info .. hartman inc kits like 144 and 151" they move the brackets a little bit back too. i can post some pics too
 
I believe Hartman extensions are shorter so they can move the skid back
if your extension are like @ 11.5" long you will have to mount the skid in its original position and then just lower the mounting holes I have done this exact same mod have pictures on snowest
 
snakebit has you covered on this one. along with the mtn viper drops, did you get the outer plates and the bolts? the drops should extend below the heat exchangers 2 7/16". you can do the metric conversion. and if your using the 121 skid, you will have to use the stock locations or you will mess up the geometry of your suspension. on a 121-144 stretch, i prefer shorter extensions and a relocate of the skid, but your committed now. it will work well when you get it done.

Okey .. ill see, i haven´t recived the rail extension yet so i can´t tell you the lenght of them. If i place the suspension at same position and just drop it down al little bit, how much should i drop it in the back and in the middle?

What do you think about the track angel ? i use the sled alround

So you just drop 1.75" in the middle and 3.5" in the back ?
What have you done more with the rear susp. No quick rods ?

If I remember the frt bolt was dropped 1-1/2" so that I could move the back bolt from the 2.5 to the 3.5 drop adjust back and forth.
rods removed and a home-made transfer enhancement kit, remove all idler wheels and made a inner 2 wheel kit with @ 77 SRX 7.5" wheels
new owner just picked it up Sunday Oct 26
 
Okey, ill think i´m going to 1 1/4" in front and 2-2,5" in back.
Have you count on attac angel on the track ?

Did you get any problem with the ski pressure ?
 
ski pressure? did you look at my Avatar picture, the skis are in the air LOL
to answer your question NO, would do the same mod in a heart beat.

I am 5' 10 stand up riding most of the time
reused stock bars and had a 2" block and 5" rox pivot riser (I think)
thought about trying it without the 2" block, but I already had it so I kept it on when adding the 5"
 
Hi !
Changed plans, now i have bought a viper mountain suspension insted of extending my rails. Good price so i couldn´t say no !

Is there anyone who have pics of inner tunnel of a viper mountain. Think i need some info about howto and where to install new suspension
