Alright.... Ive been looking for a hood and dash for my friend for his 00 srx 700
But my question is.... do the 98-99 hood & dash fit with the 00-02 setup...(lights and gauges)
this is what he said...
"headlight wont work with that hood or dash (98 hood and dash) , I bought a different dash alreadly like that and it wont bolt up"
any one have a different experience?

Sounds like you know it already. Had same problem. I had to get the other headlight.

ahh ok... was just curious... cause he said that the 98 or 99 dash didnt match up to the 00-02 hood.... but wasnt sure if a 98-99 hood and dash... would mount up to the new lights and gauges
