I get the general idea behind the transfer rods on the pro-action skid but why go with the aftermarket ones like Bender and such. Is it just the ability to adjust them really quick?

I figured they were adjustable but so are the stock ones right?

What im asking i guess is why would i spend money to get the aftermarket rods?

Is it because theyre faster/easier to adjust then the stock rods?

If theres any other reason, im all ears.

Aftermarket one are adjustable without tools. The stock rods require you to have tools. The aftermarket ones work well for the guy who wants to tinker on the go for changing trail conditions, or a quick adjustment for a better launch befor a lake race or something.

Thats pretty much what i thought, thanks.

The first pro action skids did not have adjustable rods
97 600 XTC no
98 700 SX no
02 Viper Yes
so the after-market was building them before Yamaha started to use them
I think most adjust them and leave them, IMO
If you go to a drag race you better be doing more than adjust the rods!

Yes sir, I meant and I assume he understood, just a casual race across the lake among friends. Not an actual event. Just ease of use thats all.
