01 sxr 700 gear bolt/nut torque spec
Does anyone know (maybe could ref. a service manual) what the torque should be on:
1) the large nut on the top gear (drive gear) in the chain case ?
2) the bolt on the bottom gear (driven gear) in the chain case ?
Im having to replace them along with the drive chain, tensioner needle bearing, pin and clips.
The needle bearing in the tensioner went and made a mess of things ending up with little chunks of the bearing on the dipstick magnet.
Anyway, $250.- later I have everything new except the case (not needed) ready to put it back together but an unsure of how tight to troque the blot/nut.
Also, if its handy can you tell me the torque on the exhaust manifold bolts ?
I saw what looks like a small leak in the exhaust gasket so I got a new one of those too.
Thanks in advance

1 is 68 ftlbs if I remember correct, I do mine that tight and have not checked my manual. 2 is 27 ft lbs, and use loctite. Exh manifold bolts are 8.9 ft lbs if I remember correct.
