sxr 700 rev it up,and sometimes it gives a very slight backfire type thing out the exhaust pipe.how can i fix this?

To start Take off your carbs and clean them out! blow out all main jets and pilot jets remove any gunk in float bowls

Also use 3 new plugs when starting a new season!

its through the exhaust.tonight at ideli think my pto side is not fireing very cold compared to the rest of them??mmmm

well all 3 cylenders are running,carbs clean new plugs still has a bottom end lag type thing it just doesnt have the snap like it used to and it sometimes gives a slight poof from the exhaust...any thoughts?

sounds like the pilots still aren't fully cleaned and that the fuel screws are set too lean.

X2. I cleaned my last set of carb 3 times before i got all the crud out. Just bought it so you never know what (they) did for sure. Once you touch them it seems like the crud comes from everywhere.
