Here the pic of the trailing arm i did buy for my srx 2001, can you confirm its ok?

Well, it should have a 'V' on it. The other letters you could see are: 'S' - Mountain Max and Lite, 'R' 9" travel SXR, VMAX, Venture, and 'M' which is the taller spindle(the pic you linked was NOT the tall one).

I was wrong earlier as well, the letter is stamped on the radius rod brackets.

so are you saying you cannot just use sxr longer radius rods and longer shocks on the srx trailing arms, i have seen it done but there must be a reason why they use a differant trailing arm

I beleive evrything mounts the same just with vipers and i asume all other long travels, the spindle is a little bit taller, so the housing for it on the end of the trailing arm is also taller. the diffrence would be just a little ground clearance up front. watch using other shocks though, you may need to get different upper shock mounts, I know that at least vipers are a diffrend end on the stem of the shock than stock srx.

The only real difference between the trailing arms is the caster of the spindle and the height of the spindle on the 'M'. Saying that, the mountain arm has different shock bracket angle.

The 'M' arm came about when they changed the ski bolt mount hole location when the stamped aluminum saddle came out (cast Aluminum preceded it). With the new lower hole location (which is still the same on the saddless skis by the way) they lengthened the spindle to make up for the 1" loss in effective ski height.

Clear as mud right!?!?

So to resume. All years of srx 700 or 600 the trailing arms and radius rods are the same and have a V stamped on them. Correct?
