If you are going to use all your suspension parts(arms, shocks , cross shafts, etc) on the 136 rails, it wont matter if there is a difference in tunnel widths.blk04700 said:i picked up a front pivot shaft i found in the garage and went to go stick it in my 97 thinking it went to that sled and it was too long. ended up checking it to my tunnel from my 95 xt and it fits that one , so i guess starting in 97 the tunnels are about an inch narrower.
Also, your XT is a 96, not a 95. If you are reading the Manufacturing date, it will say 95 because thats when the 96 model years sleds were built.
ok im having MORE problems with this turd. i was trying to install a camoplast 9873h 1" track in it. i dont see how its possible , it was laying on the heat exchangers the whole length. so i fabbed up a set of 1.5" drop brakets and it all looked to be good , except the very front of the track , right behind the drivers the track is still touching the heat exchangers for maybe the first six inchs. now what do i do ? change drivers ? will that require a gear change also ?
