With all the talk of guys having their steering post snap on them especially with a riser installed it's got me thinking I should check mine for any signs of cracking.I have a riser on mine now and should probably strengthen the post before it snaps on a trip or in the middle of nowhere but would like to know what you guys have done to add strength to yours.Pics would be great.

I read on here someone took a 1/2 inch natural gas pipe nipple and hammered it down inside the post. I bought one 6" long and did this, but I had to take an angle grinder with a cutting disk and cut a slit along the side of the gas pipe so the welded seam inside the steering post would fit in the slit. It worked really well, a nice snug fit and I didn't even have to weld it in. I had to cut the very end of the nipple off because it got flared from hammering.
