I just purchased a used 1999 Mini Z for my Son. I Just started to run it and there is gas leaking out of the front of the carb. There seems to be a shut off valve of some kind next to the carb if I turn it to the left the gas stops leaking. Also there is a dial that comes out of the bottom of the carb that makes some sort of adjustment (Maybe air?). Anyways could someone help me? BTY the guy I bought it from said he installed a larger jet to make it go faster. any help would be appreaciated.

Thanks
:rocks:

i go through this with ours alot, the needle jet is stuck with a piece of dirt. the filter sucks and the bowl carodes and gets in the carb. ive cleaned mine twice. take the carb off and clean it. it will run good for a couple years atleast before bothering again.

a note to help you out is to buy the roller chain tensioner. it is quieter and after buying three stock ones for 10 bucks apiece the 30$ roller is a deal as it lasts.

put a few ice screws in the track helps out.

Thanks for the reply, Which one is the needle jet? Also is that lever on the side a fuel shut off? I checked the microfich I didn't see the remote screw adjustment on the bottom of the bowl, is this an aftermarket part? This remote screw adjustment seems to effect the way it runs, if it is screwed in all the way it cuts off the engine, if I screw it out a couple of turns it runs alot better. Thanks

i dont remember that on mine. the lever is the fuel shut off valve. the needle i have trouble with is the one attached to you float. clean the whole thing.

Thanks Guys I took apart the carb and cleaned it out. WOW what a diffrence it made. I figured out that it is a remote (aftermarket) adjustment I went to that site you reccomended and that is the kit the sled has on it.

Thanks again
