So I got a 00 phazer with 205 miles on it and now I want to put some plastic skis on it. Anyone know what skis fit? oh, and we got an inch of snow today! :letitsnow :letitsnow

Any skis off A Pro-Action Chassis (trailing arm yamahas) sled should fit, or the newer skis with the aluminum? saddles. The saddle-less skis off the newer sleds will fit but they will drop the front end about 2 inches. Any aftermarket ski with a yamaha trailing arm mount will fit.

And BTW, if theres only 205 miles on that thing, it should have a long life. My 01, has over 12000 kms, or about 7500 miles and hasn't caused me one ounce of trouble, motor was never touched. The past winter a bearing went in the chain-case, it had about 10500 kms on it, but was in rough shape, some of the ball bearings were split on 2 and 3 pieces. It was the only thing that went wrong with it, and bearings wear out on every sled. You'll enjoy that machine for years to come ;)! :letitsnow

As long as the new skis have a deep agressive keel, the lower height will work well. SLP's SLT or Powder Pros are a great ski for that gen Phazer. Very easy swap too.

The Mountain Lite is basically a Phazer with a 136" track/suspension, lower gearing, and Mountain Lite graphics instead of Phazer. Narrower ski stance than yours to. I believe the 00's had the white hoods? Mine has the red hood. Mine is alot different performance wise now though because I installed a Hauck pipe/clutch kit, and MPI's Transfer Enhancement Kit to remove the transfer rods. I Think I am getting a set of wider powder skis, either Camoplast All Terrains or Sly Dog Powder Hounds. I cant wait to try my sled now, as i did these mods only in the last couple months. That Phazer will do you good for years to come yet, and when you want more power there are still some companies making performance parts for these sleds.

Sounds like a sweet sled. look forward to hearing how it goes with your upgrades.
