I am getting an 01 sx-r. it has no cover. I was wondering if anyone knew which would fit better, or would work for trailering. A viper cover or an SRX cover?? I have any extra viper cover. I may have better luck finding a used SRX cover than an SX-r cover for it the way things are looking. My main concern is that I want it to fit snug enough to the sled and not blow/whip around too much.

I bought a viper cover last year for my 99 vmax. Fits perfect, got it off the net for 140 bucks.

Sweet, I have, technically, 2 viper covers since it will be towed in enclosed trailer, sx-r may get thrown in truck bed! Thanks for the info!
I paid less than $100 for a custom cover from yamaha made specifically for the SXR. My only problem now is, since I installed the Boss seat the cover doesn't fit right. Not really a problem since the sleds are trailered inside the trailer. Usually a night I just run the sleds inside the trailer. I guess if someone wanted to steal the whole rig they can. lol Good luck Al
