Anit freeze/oil bleed ques. Yes I searched :)

Had to rebuild my top end on the 99 vmax 500. Are the instructions the same as the ones I have found for SRX'S and other 700's? I did a search and havnt found anything for a 500 or any twin.

Problem is my sled is out of town and I need to be prepared when I go get it ready as there is no internet access where it is.

There is a coolant bleed plug under the seat back by the bumper. Your sled should just have a coolant tube running across the back. Remove plug fill with coolant until coolant comes out and put bleed screw back in. There is a bleed screw on oil pump but I just put premixed my gas and filled my oil tank and with the clear hoses I installed you could watch the oil go from the tank to the pump and to the fuel pump real easy. I also at idle reached in and open the oil pump fully open to speed up the process. Hope this helps.
 
Thanks. I saw these but thought they were for tripples and wasnt sure if it is the same for mine.
