Cleaning Adjusting Power Valves on 98 SRX

I have read all the tutorials and posts on this subject and I can't seem to find any information on whether or not any parts (gaskets, washers, o-rings, special grease, etc...) are required when cleaning and adjusting your power valves. Any member have any info on this?

All you need is an allen wrench to remove the 4 screws, a 2.5mm allen wrench or similar spacer, carb or brake cleaner, a razor blade, aluminum safe scotchbrite pad and a rag for cleanup. Oh, and some time, patience, and a couple of beers.
