finally ran my viper for a few minutes around the yard today which felt great!!! i did run into a problem at first. when i first started it up, i couldn't keep it running, it would start, then it would die. it wouldn't idle and if i gave it gas, it just died.after a while, when i gave it half choke, it would start and run fine. wasn't getting any engine codes. and after a while of starting and restarting, it finally started and seemed to run just great. i wouldn't be worried if i hadn't started the thing like 15 times before i got it to stay running. any input would help me out a lot.. thanks..

pilot jets and pilot circuit is plugged. you'll need to tear off the carbs and clean those jets and passages. this sort of thing happens every year, when folks bring their sleds out of storage and run them for the 1st time after months of not running.

haha, cleaned the carbs today, seemed pretty dirty. ran it and she ran just fine. someone who was with me told me the belt isn't sitting right and is too high up and is slipping a little. i again don't know too much about sleds, and he told me to ask for a picture of how the belt should look, can anyone help me out with a picture??
There's some info about belt deflection here (and many other topics):
