I've seen some prices on vintage sleds that really suprises me.
For example, a Yamaha SSR in the $20,000 price range.
Of course, they look totally restored, so I guess the price is fair.
I've seen 1976 to 1977 Yamaha SRX-440's in the $5,500 price range.
Again, they look like they've been totally restored.
I've been looking for a 1971-1972 SR-433
I figured that if they're restored they're in the $3500 price range.
What would you expect to pay for one that's been raced, original,
missing parts, and needs to be restored?
I was figuring in the $1800 to $2400 price range.
Any opinions?

SSR's typically I see them in the $13000-$17000 range depending on level a restoration or survivor condition
'76-77 non race history SRX's are in the $5000 range
My '73 race SR292 that I race will be for sale end of '2010 season and I will be looking for the $8000 mark as a turn key race machine

2 years ago I sold 2 non restored original 77 srx out of my collection, the perfect one brought $11,700 sold to private collector. The second one I put on ebay it brought $7100. condition of sleds and what the buyers want and will pay has greatest affect on price.

It is all in the small details, the sharp buyers know what they want. That was a couple of years ago too when I sold them. I tried to buy the high dollar one back last week for $10000, the owner said no way. but he has more money than I do. The other is for sale now @ $7500 firmmontynormand said:Justin.... It all boils down to what the buyer thinks it's worth, and what the seller thinks it's worth. If they can be close, they can usually reach a deal.

I have a 1977 SRX 440 A that would have to bring 3 times that amount to have a new owner.yamaha one said:It is all in the small details, the sharp buyers know what they want. I'd like to find a very nice SR 433, ( mostly restored / totally restored )
for about $3500.
If it needs a lot of work, I think they're only worth about $1800 -$2400
But like everyone said, what its worth to the seller and what its worth to the buyer.
