I just picked up the srx 700 2001 sled and I thought they had ohlins shocks, but mine has kyb shocks. Is this normal or have they been swapped out? It is a 2001 as the title says.
Ohlins were usually only available on Snow Checked or special order SRX's. I don't think they were offered on the 2001's, although you can buy some from any other year. Personally, the first thing I would do is long travel the sled and put a set of Viper kyb's or Viper Ohlins on her.

every Canadian SRX, every year, had Ohlins.

I snow checked my '01 here in the states and it did not come with Ohlins. I didn't ask about them when I ordered or when I took delivery. I went back a few months later and was told that I needed to specify them when ordering. I think there was a specific model designation SRX-S vs. SRX. Of course the salesperson never mentioned this when I ordered. And coming from a Polaris I didn't know any better.
I wouldn't be surprised if the dealer swapped them before delivery. The owner was/is a crook.

they could have come with or without them, ususally if it came with ohlins on it there is a logo on the hood where it meets the dash cowling just above your knee.
