anyone ever done their own port/polish job? i've heard stuff about having to "flow" the cylinders and stuff, but how hard can it really be? i figured i'd just take my time shaving a little off at a time and measure twice, cut once type thing. any comments, thoughts???

DO NOT go hacking at your cylinders with a dremel tool. Porting is an art and it can be screwed up pretty easily. A high speed grinder will not get you a good finish, you really need the proper tools, but even so I would leave it to a pro. At the very least check with race logic to see if they have porting templates for your sled. Unless you really just want to experiment I wouldn't advise you to try it, a little too much matierial from the exhaust port and you got no bottom end, or your sled eats rings. If you are dead set on trying it, leave the intake a little rough, polish the exhaust. Don't take much otta the exhaust port, and most of all GOOD LUCK
