pretty sure my ignition coils and leads are original. Just wondering if anyone has replaced the leads only. Is there a pin or threaded like the plug boot. I`d hate to ripe the lead off the coil just to realize it comes as one piece.

I just did a set of coils where I replaced just the lead. The wire is glued pretty well in to the coil. The depth of the hole is about 1/2" or 13mm. There is a pin inside the hole of the coil and when you get the old casing cleaned out of the hole make sure that you clean(scrape for good contact) the pin with a small sharp screwdriver as the wire is/was glued to the pin also. When I reassembled my wires I put dielectric grease on the very end of the new wire that goes over the pin and used 5 minute epoxy to hold the wire in place. NGK makes plug leads if you are interested. T

Pulled off the old leads, took a lot of digging but managed to clean out all the old crap. Bought some red ngk racing leads from canadian tire and 5min epoxy.Looks great and better yet no more shocks every time i touch one of the wires!

LOL... WAY TO GO!!! I replaced mine with Accel automotive wire with a solid copper core need to put them on and try it out. T
