Im getting a strange click / banging sound coming from my clutch. I thought that it was one of the power valves at first but i narrowed that out with a mechanic's stethoscope. Can i rev the sled with the belt off? if i could i can determine if its either primary or secondary. Thoughts?
Im sure its been done, but could anyone recommend any kits for a water temp sensor for the SRX 700. I like the feeling of visual reassurance when the trails have frozen solid after a warm spell..... otherwise im constantly darting off the trail looking for a place to break through. Suggestions on sensor location.
Thanks again.

John the clicking is likely the weights hitting or flicking at the rollers at idle. You can run with the belt off but only give it a little throttle.
Temp sensors were talked about in the general forum a couple weeks back.

Its a good idea to remove the cover on the pri clutch and inspect the bushings on the rollers and weights for sloppyness.
