i was wondering about the aftermarket air filters you can buy for sleds if they are any good for trail riding or just lake runs and racing.

Filters don't work well on an SRX. The area is quite small between the carbs and the oil tank, and we have the steering stem to compete with, so the middle filter must be angled. Stick with the airbox.

I never said that you can't fit filters. You have a very nice set
You should run them this winter.

We are currently working on a bolt on air filter kit for the SRX. No testing has been done with it yet but it might be something to keep your eyes open for. I will keep everyone updated when it is released. Should look something like this...

for a trail sled leave the stock box alone,yamaha did there home work on it.

i ran k&n's on my is700 srx. dyno tested with & w/o & found no diff. in h.p..
