what pitch for the track is a 99 srx 600? my buddys looking to find a 141 and slap her on, he already has the extension kit....just need to know what drivers it has stock? or if i find a mm track will i have to change the drivers?

That is a 2.52 pitch track. I just extended my 99 srx 700 to 141. I would definately change drivers to 8 tooth antiratchets. You need them for any track with a lug over 1 1/2" and when you start driving that much track, the antiratchet cogs will really help. Watch when you are buying a used 141, many of the newer ones have a 3" pitch. I would definately take the time to put drop brackets in, it gives a lot more clearance. Also get some long travel shocks and limiter straps for your skid if you can. Do you have the longer hoses for the rear cooler with the extension kit? If not, it wil almost be impossible to find the proper size ones. The original hoses have a 45 degree bend to them, I couldn't find anything with that bend and could hardly find that size of hose so I ended up using a hose one size smaller with a 90 degree bend, heated it up with a heat gun and lubed up the nipples on the heat exchangers and finally got them on. You can't use just a straight piece of hose, trust me, it will kink when trying to bend it that 45 degrees. Good luck with the project.

thats a 2.52 pitch. might whant 2 go 8in drivers. thers no room 4 a 1.5 lug w/ 9in drivers may be a little room? look on Mountion sled on her 4 info.a mm max drv coggs will work :yam:
 
hey guys...ya the kit i have has anything i need i bought its 4 years back but never used it, now i found a 2.52 polaris 141 for sale with 2 inch lugs....so basically if i understand properly to fit my 2 inch lugs il have to buy 2.52 drivers in 8 tooth right?
 
Yes 2.52 with 8 teeth
Do yourself a favor and find a 144x2 in 2.52 pitch.
They are much more common and usually way cheaper

but to fit the 144 instead of a 141 i would have to buy new rails other than my 141 rails right?
 
i think u can buy 3in extentions. M-MAX is right a 144 is common then 141.i would look in 2 it. good luck :letitsnow
 
so far i found a decent 141 at 130$ us....il look into the 144 though....if it was my sled it would be 151 and up lol but its my buddys spare sled..thanks alot im sure il have more questions
 
I like to keep kind of current with what different sled manufactures are offering. What does Polaris have in 141 with a 2.52 pitch?
If you buy a 141 make sure it is not a yokohama track. They were over weight and not very durable. I put 5000kms on mine but it was all strickly mountain riding. I was starting to loose lugs but the track showed alot of stress type cracks along the kevlar belts. I ended up at 151" , but I never intended to use another 141. If you get a 144 it opens up alot more options of track style, and I would get a camoplast track.

the one off the polaris is a 141 challenger, this sled is mor of a 50 trail- 50 off trail sled(for a begginer) i also have the option of buying a brand new crossfire track 3 inch pitch 1.5 lugs...still trying to decide which is better for now
