What would cause oil to be in the air box after sitting all winter? Sled is a 2000 Vmax 700. The air box had about 1/4 inch of oil in the bottom.

Bad reeds will do it, its a normal thing. run it without the airbox and watch how much stuff it spits back.
I pulled the box to remove the carbs to do the reed stopper notch. What do I look for to determine if the reeds are bad?
Chipping and breaking are usually a sign of bad reeds
Any other reasons for oil in the air box?? Reeds look pretty good!

There is usually some oil in the airbox....sounds alittle more than normal...maybe.
