I have an SRX secondary on my 95 VMax 600. Works well, just make sure it is shimmed. I am not sure if I go through more or less belt wear since it was already on there when I bought it.

i never tried it on an old srx but i did on my vmax 540. huge improvement over the comet102 and crap secondary. the primary was bolt and go (with some tuning ) for the secondary i had to extend the spline on the jackshaft to match that of a newer srx. can't remember what i used for a belt ,i think it was a t-cat belt but not sure. i just searched until i found one that was the same width as the 8dn belt and for a sled that had the same c-c as my vmax. worked great!

this is the problem im running into. how did you extend the splines, or did you use a different jackshaft....

friend of mine has a machine shop ,used his milling machine. i think they only need to be extended like a 1/2" or so. if you got a steady hand you could do it with a thin cutting disc on a grinder.
