Who has the best GPS Snowmobile trail maps??

I have been looking at getting the trail maps for Wisconsin & the UP. I just bought a Nuvi 500 for this. Who has the best maps out right now. There are 3 or 4 that I looked at, and all seemed to be a little different. I just want a nice detailed map that shows the trails along with possibly logging or forest roads, highways, pit stops, gas, and any other little conveniences. Lets hear what maps you have, and how you like them, or not like them. Thanks!!! Mike
 

I purchased a NUVI 550 to use this year along with the snowmobile map of the northeast from sledpgs.com My only complaint about the nuvi so far is that I normally save the tracks from my rides then reload them when I go back to that same area again. With the Nuvi, it does capture the tracks and you can download them to mapsource and save them but you can not upload them back to the Nuvi again. I can not get them back onto the Nuvi. Has anyone found a way to do this easily??

Also someone in our club raised a question about freezing and breaking the LCD screen. Here is what Garmin said when ask about using the Nuvi for snowmobiling.

"Thank you for contacting Garmin International. Glad to assist you here. All units have a liquid crystal screen which can freeze and break. We don't have a unit that is rated for temperature's below freezing.

A lot of users do purchase the Nuvi 550 for snowmobiling in short usage situations but it still has the same screen with the same limitations. "

vVvmapping looks good, but they don't have maps for Wisconsin yet.

I do like the Nuvi 500, I think it is a perfect crossover type unit. I don't care much for making tracks, or maps, i just want to know where I am on a given trail in relation to surrounding roads, etc. When I find a map set for this unit that looks good, I believe it will do what I expect it to do. This will hopefully help eliminate those wrong turns when your low on gas. Mike ;)!

Seems pretty accurate, at least up here where I am. I'm using a Garmin Nuvi1300, but the way my sled is, there's plenty of engine heat getting up around the place I have it mounted. I can pop it off and put it in my suit if I leave the sled, and bring it in the house when I'm done riding. It seems to work pretty good so far, but I haven't ridden in totally frigid conditions with it yet.

I'm going to run a Garmin Oregon 450 this year with a the vvmapping maps. I've used the gpssledmaps ones in the past and they were good as well as being free. I'm trying the vvmapping this year. I was up this weekend and the trails looked accurate. Supposedly you can do routing with the vvmaps....
 
I've not been a fan of the garmin nuvi GPS's. They are harder to navigate (onscreeen) than other brands.

Correct me if i am wrong, but don't Garmin's come with free lifetime UPS updates? If so, that is a huge bonus, but for ease of use, garmin has a bit to do.
