Hello.
I am new to Yamaha snowmobiles, so i just have a few questions to ask.
This looks like a nice forum, so i am looking forward to spending some time here, all the way from Norway
ok, so i have bought a 1998 srx 600, and one sylinder and piston is destroyed.
The sylinder issue i have fixed with trade sylinder, and i'll get all 3 new pistons while i am at it. the engine is completely dissasembled so i will change all bearings and oil-rings (?) and gaskets while it's open anyway.
But i can't seem to find which pistons are for my model, what bore is it exactly in mm's. and also which brand is ok, i have considered Wiseco and OEM.
Was thinking of ordering from www.hiperf.com because in this country everything is expensive as h***..
Example: New yamaha sylinder: 2000 $
Wiseco piston: 285$
I would greatly appreciate any thougts on which piston and which store etc etc that you guys have experience with.
and sorry for the english!
Sincerly Ray.

Yes replacement nickisil cylinders are the same bore as new ones only cheaper on the pocket book! You should go with yamaha pistons like 9801 srx has stated an oem piston will run you around 200 and new rings are around 45 dollars each dollars here in Canada. I am not sure what your cost would be in Norway
