I got my drop brackets installed from cb performance and drilled my center holes. I removed everything from underneath so I could use a template to get my measurements dead on in the center when I drilled the new holes. I noticed though, my brackets themselves are off about 1/4 from the measurement that I saw in my instructions, but when I try to move them forward I cant get them close because the cutout for the heat exchanger wont let it sit flush if I try to adjust it. I am kinda at wits end trying to get this right, it's not the product I know but why is my suspension still bound? What am I doing wrong? I have an identical sled sitting right next to mine and I compared it when I reinstalled the skid so I know that nothing is backwards... What gives?

I would check the original spacing between the front, centre and back holes and compare that to your new placement and see if you can figure it out from there. I would check front to middle hole, front to back hole and middle hole to back hole and see if it is the same as the original. Basically when you put the drop brackets in, you are coming down in a radius, so your measurements between the holes should stay the same, but just pivoted down. Good luck.

hey you got instructions? mine didn't come with any and now my tunnel looks like swiss cheese. I took mine out because the suspension was bound.... really wanted those brackets to work.

I actually did print this one off, that's where I got the idea for the template. But my question is, how do I get the rear measurements right? The rear measurement is off and I cant figure out how to get that extra quarter inch so I can keep everything on the radius.

Okay, I spent over 6 hours in this thing today double, triple, even quadruple measuring the holes and all are dead nuts on with the measurements specified in the directions. I have searched near and far and cant find much more info on these brackets. I am now offically at wits end and not really satisfied with this. I dont know what Im overlooking because all measurements are correct, the skid's not crooked, and everything is put in right. When I push on to the suspension, the transfer rods instantly hit the top bushing, and I have about a grand total of 3 inches of travel and the skid starts to pick up in the front until it is rock solid. Anyone in the area willing to check this out I will pay for your gas and buy ya a 12 pack to come out to tell me what the heck Im doing wrong. My sled has been in pieces for almost a month now trying to figure out why this is not working. Any takers?

There is a scissor pivot between your two wieght transfer rods. It is all connected to your middle mounting bracket for your skid. I know when you are putting your skid back in it could scissor towards the front. The bottom of the scissor that mounts to the rails needs to be sitting angled slightly back, not forwards. Check that. This is just a guess.

Yeah I already did that. Like I said before, I have an identical stock sled sitting right next to mine for reference...

Well, I have no idea then, mine works great. Maybe throw up some pics if you can and one of us will see something.

I just put it back to stock today and noticed something: My transfer rods still hit the top as soon as I sit on it. Obviously my suspension is misadjusted and or twacked... Rubbish... Rubbish... Rubbish... Now on to correct the other problem...

Rochelle/DeKalb area. About an hour southwestish of Chicago, bout an hour from the Iowa border. I think we're considered north central Illinois.

Sure did bro. Just had to make some adjustments. I talked to Bruce about it and we got her all squared away. The problem was that my suspension was misadjusted. I discovered this by putting it back to stock and the suspension was the same way in the stock position. It's all good now.
