I bought a 2001 Phazer Deluxe last year and the previous owner had just installed a 1.25" Ripsaw. I'd like to stud the track but am not sure if I'll have any problems studding the 1.25" track on this sled. I did install two 1.325" studs in the center and nothing hit as I rotated the track. Was only going to install 48 studs down the center but considering it's already got a 1.25" track, will the 1.325" stud pose any problems?

You will need tunnel protector strips if you do not have them. 48 studs 1/8" above the lugs will not give a great amount of traction, but will help. Put the studs as close as possible to the windows and stagger every other one slightly for the maximum benefit.

Thanks guys. Since my son will be riding this sled this year, thought it would be best to get him some added traction around icy corners and across the lake when crossing over bare spots. We don't ride like mad men when riding with the boys so I think 48 1.325" studs should suffice.

If he is like any other young lad, controlling track spin isn't high on the list of priorities. 48 seems a little on the light side not so much from a traction stand point but more from a stress on each stud stand point. I mention it because I wouldn't want you to have any pull-outs. 1.325 makes for a fairly large lever and imo I'd go with more than 48 and would recommend 96.
