hi again. Looking for 76 and 79 srx portting specs.first I should ask if 79 juggs can be ground out to make 76 race ported juggs.or is there something differnnt .Are any of the ports in diferent locatoins not allowing it to be turned into a 76 jug.any way I am looking for some coppies of bluprints and specs with mesurements for 76 full race portting, wiled pipes,44 carbs, and shaved heads. also looking for bluprints on 79 trail portting 42 carbs,76 pipes, heads shaved to 8g9 cc specs .

THE 76 SRX WAS A RACE SLED. IN STOCK FORM THESE WERE RACE SLEDS MADE ORIGINALLY FOR OVAL RACING. THE 79 SRX WAS A CONSUMER TRAIL/ LAKE ROCKET MUSCLE SLED. THESE SLEDS HAVE NAME IN COMON ONLY. THE 79 SRX CLYS CAN BE PORTED TO THE 76 '' STOCK '' SPEC. I DID IT YEARS AGO TO A 78 SRX, SLED WAS A ROCKET. MY BEST SUGGESTION TO YOU, IS CONTACT AAEN PERFORMANCE, FOR THE WAY YOUR TALKING, THEY HAVE ALL THE INFO YOU NEED. 3:16 (yammie tony)

The 76 cylinders are the same as 78-80 cylinders except for the intake port. If you are going to make a mod SRX of any year including 77 you should use 78-80 cylinders just to save the 76 and 77's for collecting or whatever. Use 77 race specs that the factory provided in the Snow Racing 77 manual or have someone like DRP or Hauck port them to what they use which is similar. Get DRP or Aaen mod pipes and at least 44 mm carbs unless you can afford 48's. Whoever does your cylinders can do your heads. Stock ignition set at 1.8 mm BTDC will be good and run race fuel only.
