I have been thinking of switching over the wheels on my Viper (SkiDoo skid) to billet wheels, but have read a couple posts on different forums about them icing up and packing with snow/ice unless they have the rubber ring around the outside. I run mostly semi-groomed trails but am off in the powder/breaking trails some of the time too, probably 60 groomed-40 powder or so...

I was wondering if any of you guys running billet wheels could chime in on this. Thanks!

I can honestly say I have never looked to see what kind of wheels passing sleds are running.... but I'm not into the :bling: factor... I'd rather put my money in the tank. :letitsnow

never had a problem been 4 years works great. i run oversive wheels.

Yea, I aint really into too much of the bling bling like Amato, lol, but it is cool to have something different... The trouble I am running into is I have the ski doo skid on my Viper with yellow wheels and it would cost me the same for a set of billet wheels as a new set of grey ski doo wheels that i think look ugly... and i cant do an easy oversize like most guys do on proaction chassis to polaris wheels because there isnt a close size to the ski doo wheels...

Im thinking about having a friend making some tuning fork wheels, i always liked the looks of those...

Sweet wheels Amato, thanks for the report on em!

There's gotta be others that have em too, guess i'll check out the 4 stroke side some more...

If your ditch bangin' and bouncin off rocks and stumps(which we do) they turn oblong pretty quick and don't look so nice.

I could probably flip the wheels, I got some Fusion paint this weekend and painted em black, I'll see if that lasts...

I am not a huge ditch banger, but hit the moguls pretty hard... most of my off trail is in powder that I know there isnt anything that will start twisting my sled up, not too many off trail spots around here, just hedgerow drifts...
