hey just wondering what if any mods could be done to the stock pipe on my vmax. anything with the silencer or maybe cutting the pipe ??? anything about this would help me alot

Cut the hole in it, I do not see shelling out $200 plus for a silencer on a 500 tbh. What gain is it really on a 500, I only gained 8hp and saved 12 pounds on a 700. This is with a very noisy can also.
My polaris had a 488LC and it was a pita to tune after putting on twin slp pipes and slp airbox and porting and polishing, sure the 500 ran better, but it was a lot of work and money. Personally the reason I went to a 700. I should have just left the 500 a lone and kept it a happy trail sled. lol.
