will a viper single pipe work on my srx 700 engine? and if it will what kind of power would i lose?

i think the engine side of the manifold is different so you'd have to rework the manifold

i'm putting a srx 700 into my 81 srx chassis. and i'm not sure if i'll be able to squeeze the triple pipes in. so i'm looking for options in case

i guess you'd still have plenty of power for that chassis lol!!!

you'll either need make a new manifold, so it mounts up to the srx cylinders, or get some viper cylinders and then manifold will bolt right up.

well once the engine is where it's supposed to be i'll try sqeezing the triple pipes in first. i think i'd miss that xtra 25 hp too much

Ha! I love it. Good luck. I looked at doing the same thing in a '91 Vmax. There is no way you can fit those pipes in there. Mag side carb would also be an issue, but that's do-able........probably have to ditch the rad. Perhaps you can have a custom set of pipes built with one out the left side somehow, but there's no way to run 3 out the right side. You can do a single with some work, but u'll kill the hp. I put some thought into it, and if I were to do it, I'd go with a big twin instead of a triple. Too bad you'd have to switch to one of the other 3 brands for the engine, but that's the way I would go. That SRX would be mean with 160 hp
