I'm the proud owner of a 1998 SRX700. I want to go quicker. (big mouth neighbour has a ZR900). I know I won't beat him, but I want to keep it close. Races will be on the ice (I live on Lake Erie) 500ft. in length. Sled has VForce reeds, exhaust stingers, and Hauck clutch (owner didn't know specs or how clutch was set up). Also has adjustable transfer rods. So I need to know:
Gearing
Clutching
And anything else you can think of to make this a more competitive race. Next year I'll go big-bore.
Thanks for all replies!! ~R

you can whip him
you can whip him if his is stock, you need 8bu-00 weights, 4.5 rivet in tip only, .8 alum in heel hole, white maxx spring, 52/35 helix with green spring at 70-80 degrees, drop the gearing to 21/38, your gonna need very good traction, so I hope you have alot of studs, also, put the stock silencer back on, the aftermarkets slow them down.
