Anyone ever try this? What are the pro and con of this devise? Seems at first glance to be easier then removing the secondary and adding shims. Any comments? :ORC

it really works great but I have had it loosen up several times and almost lost the secondary...other then that, with blue loctite it should work...

I run them on all my stuff, never once had a problem with them, it makes setting belt deflection a snap.

The problem with the ones I use was the torque spec for the secondary bolt said 4.6 ft lbs, and it should have said 46 ft lbs. Good part is that you can adjust for belt wear, and the Yammie belt "suqeal" is no more.

Mr. Sled; I see you have added a 05 RX1 to your stable. Looking forward to hearing your report on your first ride! Are you going to add the belt deflection adjuster ?? LOL

Ya, I cant wait to get the 05 on the snow...I have many new fun things to try out this year too....but I wont be going to the adjuster...LOL, that thing kept pissen me off, blue locktite torque the crap out of it and it still would come loose...WTF...so I gave it away...I will stick with my OEM....As Rules would say its the "The problem is behind the handle bars"....:)

Yes the adjusters are easy to install, and I use mine :) Mr Sleddie, if ya take a close look at my avitar, could the problem be the moron with the wrenches??? LaLaLa :WayCool:

Easy to install but make sure your clutch alignment is spot on as it makes the secondary sollid and not float. Also make sure the spacer length is correct if it is too short when you tighten the clutch bolt it will pull on the jackshaft.

I assume MAxx Perf. explains what needs to be done in the instructions. Do you have to remove a washer or change the spacer from stock? If so , do they provide the parts needed?

I think the troube Sled had, might be that he used the stock lock washer, and there weren't enough threads being used. No lock washer, and loctite will do it. You will be locking your secondary, so you won't have any more trouble with the bearing coming out.
