I have a friend who was given a early 80s Bravo for his kids and asked me to go over it when they take it out of storage I do not know the year as of now I have not seen it yet But was wondering if they changed very much from beginning to end of production also i am told this is the short track model not the trapper special that is still available here in Canada any help or input would be greatly appreciated as I would like to handle the common problems so these kids can ride more than repair their new toy
I have a 1985 Bravo and have had it for 10 years. I clean the carb once every other year, grease the suspension, check hifax and wear rods. The snowmobile has gone through three of my four boys and still starts first pull everytime, never had a problem with it! Check the oil, gas it up and watch the kids have a ball!!
The R246 is a great engine for what it is - simple and reliable.
