I am extending a 94 v-max 600. I have the 8 tooth window drivers that I pressed on the shaft.
The instructions say to get the outside edge of the drivers out to the track lugs to keep the track from walking side to side.

The center to center on the drivers is 9 inches.

I pressed them on and left them a little longer at 9-1/16 inches center to center then started to fit it into the new track. The track is a used camoplast track off a yamaha mountain max. It has the yamaha name on it. Every window is clipped and every other has the L-shaped clip that runs up the side of the rubber lug.
As I was fitting it in I place the driveshaft into the track and check for any slop. I am now at 9 inches center to center and I can not get the drivers to fit down where the L-shaped clips are. There is a small gap between the L-shaped clip and the rubber lug? Thats the problem?

Now do I just keep going in closer with the drivers till it fits down in between the L-shaped clips? Or leave them and 9 inches and the plastic drivers will wear into the clips?
First time doing this. Thanks

Go in closer, so the drivers drop into the windows with no resistance. Even having the drivers centered in the windows is fine, my 162 does not walk with 2 upper wheels and the 2 wheel rear axle kit.
