Hi Guys
I need some help confirming what year and make this sled is in the picture below. I know there is very little information on the sled via the web. Everybody who talkes about the sled in a previous form post does not show a picture to confirm that the sled is the same as mine. Any help would be great appreciated. I believe this sled to be a 1989 Enticer 400 II?
Thanks in advance.

umm that is wrong year. they started that style in 1992. looks to be around a 92 as that was the colour around then. they ended the run in 2001 and those where a sea-foam'ish green in colour if i remeber right. here is a few pics of mine.

mine is a 1997 and the last year before they put hydraulic brakes on them. the us only had them till 95/96. pre 1992 they where called the et400 but the motor is actually 408cc's, so at some point they started calling them the et410.

WOW Thanks for all the help and the info. The two sleds are definetly close in age so at least I now know I am on the right path.
Mine has sat for many years on and off has not been cared for very well by it's previous owner however the sled still starts every year and the reverse works flawlessly. The only thing that I think is off is the speed of the sled. I know this sled is not made for speed but mine only does 70 or 80 km/hr when pinned. I would have thought that this 400cc motor would do more. I don't know if I have an issue or if that is simply the top speed for this sled because the sled has been so poorly taken care of and was never built for speed anyway. The sled has less than 2000kms.

Thanks again for all your help!

well i have had mine up to 100kph indicated but it was on a lake that was really smooth and it was -20c that night. took half the lake to get it wound up that high and the lake is 2 miles long. most of the time it hangs out at 80kph wot. i have owned mine since new. still on origonal slider plastic and just did the bearings last season for the 1st time at 5000km. only things i have ever done to this sled is carbides, primary clutch spring, and rx1 tunnel braces (jumped a few too many snow drifts).

Looks to be a 1993 or 1994.I can rule out 1995 and later because there is a guy in town with a 1995 that is a dark blue color.Hope to get my old-mans 1996 out tomorrow to try the new 1-inch camoplast :2strokes: .

Got her out and she runs great with the new deep-lug track, lots of traction :2strokes:.Also got the new slides broken in.Installed a set of YAMAHA wide ski-skins last winter(part#8AC-23732-00-BK) which helped out alot for keeping it upright in deep snow.A great mod would be installing the wide plastic skis off the new VK-540 which would remove more weight off the nose(steel skis are REALLY heavy). This sled has paid for itself twice over due to all the firewood it hauls ever winter.

well its not a 89 (85V) i know that much... its also not a 90 (87L) other than that im not sure because my chart only goes to 90.... where are you guys looking up the vin numbers after 90?

i do not have the #. i just loved enticers in any shape and i payed attention to all the changes to them. usually they changed the colour on them every year so it made it easy to tell what year it was by the colour of the hood, as long as it was the origonal.

you want fun? try and find parts for mine. yamaha canada does not even list my sled in the parts fiche. i have to order parts from a 95 when i need stuff, and yes i am shure it is an 97 as that is the year on the tunnel and the ownership.

The last few years they were sold in canda they had a .75 full block track. The new 1 inch sneaker on my fathers really helps the sled accelerate much faster. Also installed grease fittings on all the suspension pivots in the rear, makes the ride way- ;)! smoother.
