Installed new SD's along with the new supplied rubber boot, which seems larger than the stock. After install, there is little (if no) pivot on the axis of the ski (just below spindle). Is this normal for this ski application? Do the Slydogs have more flex than stock or am I supposed to use the old rubber boot?
Any help would be appreciated

Use the rubber that came with them - you are going to like them.

Cool, that answered my question about them, I got a set of Powder Hounds and didnt get the mounting rubber, was just going to use my stockers but they allow so much movement I didnt like it, but if the ones SD gave ya were the same as stockers I wasnt going to waste the money for the mounting kit... Glad to hear they are thicker than stockers, I'll get mine ordered tonight...
