What's the procedure on these old sleds to change the belt? Do I have to remove the clutch? If so will a clutch puller I have for my 96 vmax's work? It's a 76 gp300.

well unless thats somekind of setup i dont know about you should be able to twist the secondary sheeves different directions and then with your third hand the belt will be able to come off of it

No, you do not need to remove any clutches. Just remove the belt guard, twist the secondary sheaves and push them apart, then push the belt down all the way in the secondary which will enable you to weasel the belt out around the bottom. Now you should be able to get it off the secondary and snake it out the back and off the primary. They're just a little tight around the bottom between the secondary and chassis, but they come out. G.
