are there any downfalls from running yamalube for 4000 miles then switching to synthetic??

The only downfall is that you were running yamacrap oil for 4000 miles.
Run/drain it down low and fill it up with synthetic.
I found that yamalube reallly gummed up the pv's and are way better with amsoil.
I clean and adjust them about every 500 kms too. (little anal,
but I like to keep em clean)

I had a full tank of non synthetic but wanted to change to synthetic so I just got some small hose and a marinade injector syringe and removed it. Was then topped up with synthetic.

The down fall is that running that symi-synthetc yamalube for all that time you have that much wear as if you had run a full synthetic in that 4,000 it would have been alot less,the damage so to speek is already done,time for new rings at 4,000 anyway,do that then run a synthetic outa the gate and your good to go!!marty f said:are there any downfalls from running yamalube for 4000 miles then switching to synthetic??
