Anyone know what stock jetting was on a 97 XTC 500 for 0-2000 ft., 0-30F temps?

Had good luck with 150's in even colder temps.

I went and bought a set of 150's like you told me. I went out tonight to put them in and there were already 150's in it. Someone must have jetted it down at the dealers before I bought. Kind of strange. I bought that sled as a leftover in Jan. 2000 and have never changed the jetting. I found my manual and stock mains were supposed to be 151.3's. Its got me stumped!

The Yamaha manual claims that stock jets for that sled is 151.3 mains....at minus 30F they might be even a little slight..... Bought 152.5's for this year to replace stock 151.3's...... The tempa flow should help correct any richness, I hope.....

We had my wife's 500 with 150's last year in Ontario. No problems in the cold temps, plugs never got past cardboard brown on teh coldest ride, about -20*f. She wasn't pushing it though.
I've got the 151.3's in, but dropped the needle half a notch and run a Tempaflow. The temps were so cold in Ontario that the tempaflow shut off, and I was back to 11mpg! I can do 14mpg in warmer temps during wfo riding.
151.3's are plenty safe, I think, the sled could go colder than the rider most likely
