Hey there i just noticed the rivits holding on my trailing arm mounts are working them selfs loose..or pulling threw. what would be my best fix. would using steel bolts viberate threw the aluminum?
That happened on my old sx as well. I went to the dealer and got the OEM replacements rivets. No troubles after 2k miles.
I replaced mine on one side with allen heads and nylock nuts and red locktight. If you get steel replacement rivets you will want to use an air rivet gun.

that sound good...i think i will go with the allen heads....dont really have access to a air rivet gun. thanks alot for the input
drill and replace them one at a time or a few at a time so the mount stays right where it is supposed to be. Get stainless so no rust.
Bender sells a trailing arm mount brace kit. In 1999 Yamaha used bigger rivets.

i just did mine on a vamx. i used longer aluminum rivets and put washers on both sides. seemed to pull it up tight.
