changed the track on my 02 viper from the stock 121" to a 136" ripsaw. How Will the longer track effect my gearing? With the stock track, i was geared down 1 tooth on the top. Will I need to change gears to get back where i was with the stock track? What about clutching?

Nothing changes you will be a little slower at top end, with the longer track.
I would leave it alone. Its not that much more track especially since the rip saw is 1.25 lug.
It will grab traction much better and you will be faster from the go and you may not want a gear change.
Try it out first

I geared down 1 tooth when going to a 136" ripsaw and it seems perfect, I went from 39/22 to 39/21 and a shorter chain.
22/38 is what comes stock on a viper.
I bet you have 440CC sleds laughing as they pass you with 21/39 gears LMAO

Nope this did'nt slow the sled down much at all on top end plus its snappier all around with a little lower gearing, this was recommended to me by Turk and we all know he's the man!tomseal6 said:22/38 is what comes stock on a viper.

Swede's sled is a SXR and this guy has a Viper
so swedes sled is gear down one tooth from stock
and that is what eveyone reccomends
and also what I ran in a 02 Viper with a 136 x 1-1/2
