you would have better luck with a 45/41 or something like that but thats not all there is to clutching....you will want the right springs and weight to go with it.

Fosho!
The 50/44 works well with 8ab's or 8ca's, but traction will be a huge issue, if you have a stock track, forget it.
I'd honestly start with more traction, a Camo 9830 is a great all around track, and the 9737 is darn good too. You should be able to run studs with these, but just the track will make a huge difference in power to the ground.
I'd suggest pulling a weight out of the primary and see what you've got in there, some of those sleds came with agressive weights back then.
That 50/44 will be hard to hook up, but if you do it'll seem like another sled.

Order it from www.richmotorsports.com! Rich is a great dude to work with, and it'll save you money to boot. I spent $120 on my Dalton too, and although they sent me a lovely Xmas card that year, I'd rather save the 20-30 bucks and got it through Rich.
by the way, studs don't help in snow! If you've got the stock track, you'll quickly realize how heavy your sled is when in soft snow and powder, you'll be digging it out more often, hehe.
On ice with good studs, you'll dig this combo. Make sure your rpms are perfect though.
